In Science we learned about how we measure loudness in decibels (dB) and frequencies, or pitch, in hertz (Hz.) We learned that if there are very loud sounds, then we should not go close to them because they can damage our ears. A.M.A. what dangerous sounds might damage our ears!

Some very important homework went home this week for our Inquiry work. Students need to interview a family member or find an artifact that speaks to their family's story. Students also need to create a family tree that goes back as far as they are able. Students also need to bring in a large, clean can to be used for an upcoming project. All of this is explained in the information package that was sent home yesterday. All of this is due by October 30.

In Language Arts we learned about nouns, verbs, adjectives, and adverbs, and how they help make our sentences more interesting. A.M.A. the activity we did!

We learned about the history of the Canadian flag this week. A.M.A. some of the facts we learned!

Today was our last day for our math centres about measurement. A.M.A. what the centres were, and what we did at each centre!
